FLIR / Thermal Imaging

Calibrated FLIR thermal cameras locate hidden moisture, missing insulation, electrical hot spots, and air-leakage paths invisible to the naked eye. Paired with moisture meters to confirm what the camera sees. Used as a standalone service or as part of a broader assessment.

Common Questions

About this service

Is FLIR the same as moisture testing?

No. Thermal imaging shows temperature differentials that can indicate moisture, but a wet surface and a cold uninsulated surface can look similar. We always confirm with a calibrated moisture meter before calling something wet.

When is FLIR useful?

Suspected hidden water intrusion, post-leak verification, insulation/envelope diagnostics, energy-audit support, and locating the source of mold growth before invasive inspection.
